Technology Adoption Curves vs. Birth Year and Life Expectancy

Asymco has done a fascinating piece of research mapping technology adoption curves, technology refresh rates, and human lifespan, to predict technology lifetime ownership.

"...knowing how what innovations become universal and the speed at which these technologies are replaced can give us an idea of what individuals might experience in their [own] lifetimes."

I am predicted to own 3 HDTVs and 9 tablet computers before the end of my life - but being a technologist I think I am slightly ahead.
